Esports Data Platform GRID Esports is the first esports company to be accredited by the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA).

GRID is the latest awardee, joining Sportradar and Stats Perform.

GRID was certified following an audit by the eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance body (eCOGRA). This body tests, inspects and certifies gambling software.

Khalid Ali is the CEO of IBIA. He said, “This marks an important step in the development of data standards accreditation. GRID was the first esports data company to achieve the accreditation.” It recognises GRID’s high integrity when it comes to the collection and distribution of esports-related data. This gives reassurances to parties who wish to use that data.

It is important that the consumer has confidence in both the product itself and the supply chain of data that created it.

Data standards accreditation is only awarded to companies that meet the three standards of the IBIA: data collection, data integrity and personnel vetting and education.

Mikael Wetherling, Chief Security Officer at GRID Esports said: “GRID was created on the belief that official data assets are standard for gaming and esports.” For the last four years we have built and improved our technology in order to make sure that our quality service, the reliability of our data, and the level of support offered to our partners will enable sustainable growth for the industry.

We are very proud of the work we’ve done so far. Receiving the IBIA certification is testament to our hard-working team, and it motivates us to continue to achieve excellence.
