Raketech, an affiliate group of the Danish gambling company Danske Spil, has formed a media partnership.

Raketech stated that the deal with Danske Spil will help to grow its sports product line in Denmark. Raketech said that this partnership would support its long-term revenue diversification strategy.

This deal is for a period of three years initially, but can be extended for another year.

Raketech has now established a second partnership with Danske Spil in Denmark. The group had also established a partnership with Vbet earlier this year.

Raketech has also formed similar partnerships with state-owned operators such as Svenska Spel, in Sweden.

Johan Svensson, acting CEO of Raketech said: “We’re happy to announce that we have a media partnership for three years with Danske Spil.” It expands Raketech’s media offerings while continuing to offer market-leading assets online to the Danish Market.

The partnership is a major milestone for Raketech Denmark. This is a testament to our ability to support large operators who demand high performance standards.

Svensson temporarily takes charge of Raketech

Svensson was appointed interim CEO of Raketech after Oskar muhlbach left the company in January.

Muhlbach left the company due to differing views about the direction the group should take. Muhlbach had been CEO of the group since December 2019. Prior to that, he was its Chief Operating Officer.

Svensson was a Raketech co-founder and its former CEO, but he stepped down in 2017. Svensson has returned temporarily to his role while Raketech searches for a permanent successor.

Lottery growth pushes revenue up at Danske Spil

Danske Spil reported an increase of revenue and profit in its financial year 2023. The growth in its lottery division was the reason for this.

Key highlights included a 1.2% rise in revenue to DKK5.04bn (PS576.3m/EUR675.6m/$720.2m). Danske Lotteri Spil generated DKK2.87bn of this total. This is a 2.5% increase and record total.

Danske Spil has reported an increased profit before tax of DKK2,35bn. The group’s 2023 net profit was DKK1.82bn after DKK526.5m of tax. This is an increase of 5.9%.
