Flutter’s FanDuel Group, owned by Flutter Entertainment, has formed a partnership Major League Baseball.

As part of this agreement, FanDuel becomes an official co-exclusive sports betting partner for MLB. This builds on the existing status of FanDuel as an authorized gambling operator since 2019.

FanDuel’s sportsbook app will allow users to stream MLB.TV’s Free Game of the Day via the FanDuel+ OTT service, with local blackout restrictions.

It will also work closely with the League on new sports betting products to increase fan engagement.

FanDuel will also work with MLB to raise the awareness of gambling responsibly amongst baseball fans in North America.

Kenny Gersh, MLB’s executive vice president for media and business developments said: “As the leading sportsbook in America FanDuel is a leader in the industry in terms of innovative ways to engage fans while at the same time reminding them the importance of playing responsibly.”

These key priorities, unique fan engagement and responsibly gambling, align with the focus of our league and FanDuel is a perfect partner with whom to work as an official partner in sports betting.

Christian Genetski, FanDuel’s president said: “Baseball fans are among the most passionate of all sports. That is why we are delighted to become the new partner in sports betting of Major League Baseball.

Our team is excited to bring FanDuel to MLB broadcasts, enhance the game narratives as well as make America’s favorite pastime available to fans via our mobile and OTT platforms.

We’re excited to be working with MLB to develop new products that allow customers to improve their experience at every MLB pitch, from March to October.
