EPIC Global Solutions has agreed to a landmark deal with a NCAA Division III conference.

The London-based gambling harm consultancy has reached an agreement with the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) making the conference the first DIII conference to offer a gambling harm education program through EPIC. The agreement, which includes an initial six-month consultancy period, will provide education on sports betting issues to student-athletes and staff, including athletic directors, from all PAC member schools.

“Since sports betting became legal and so accessible online, the PAC and administrators in our conference have been searching for a way to educate our student-athletes and staff about the potential dangers of online gambling,” said PAC Commissioner Joe Onderko. “This partnership with EPIC Global Solutions will help provide our conference schools with the tools to help our athletes be better informed about possible issues that can be brought on by online gambling.”

EPIC will leverage the expertise of its former NCAA athletes to provide student-athletes and professionals in the PAC with insights about gambling and how addiction can form.

The gambling consultancy is working with a Division III conference despite regulated operators across America not offering betting markets for the division’s competitions.

As of January 2025, the PAC is made up of 13 member schools with the majority of the institutions in Western Pennsylvania. Its membership includes Saint Vincent College, Washington & Jefferson College and Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio.

NCAA is familiar territory for EPIC

Last March, the consultancy agreed to a pact with the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) to provide educational tools and workshops to minimize gambling-related harm.

EPIC and the ACC previously collaborated in 2024 to deliver a presentation on gambling harm at the conference’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee meeting. The meeting included two student-athletes from each member institution and administrators.

Over the past three years, EPIC has provided educational sessions to more than 71,000 student-athletes and staff nationwide with sessions at over 200 institutions.
