London-based iGaming testing and standards agency eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA) has received regulatory approval to bring its services to Arizona and Indiana.
In both of those states, as well as in Panama, eCOGRA can now conduct independent compliance audits and certification services for iGaming companies.
In Arizona, it has been licensed as an Event Wagering Ancillary Supplier, which enables the International Testing Laboratory (ITL) to audit event wagering licensees. Indiana, meanwhile, has authorized eCOGRA to perform regulatory compliance audits, providing licensed operators with assurance in meeting the state’s standards.
“Our recent approvals in Indiana, Arizona, and Panama underline our dedication to continually expand our offering, to support our growing portfolio of clients with their global growth plans,” said Group CEO Will Shuckburgh. “We are committed to ensuring that we bring the same quality, speed and service that marks us out to both our clients and regulators in these dynamic markets.”
“Securing licensure as an Event Wagering Ancillary Supplier in Arizona and an Authorized Entity in Panama underscores our dedication to supporting responsible and sustainable iGaming operations,” added Chief Technology Officer Bradley Khoury. “We are committed to driving trust and accountability within the industry by providing compliance solutions that uphold the highest standards.”
eCOGRA pursues presence in Americas
eCOGRA was the first non-American test lab to be authorized to offer testing, inspection and certification services in the U.S. It works with a range of high-profile online operators and gaming-adjacent companies with a U.S. market presence, including the likes of bet365, Entain, Games Global, Sportradar, Relax Gaming and Betway.
In February, it marked what it called a significant milestone in its expansion into the U.S. when it opened a new office in Denver, Colo. Around the same time, it also appointed a U.S.-based director of compliance, former IGT PlaySports and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board compliance specialist Daniel Remmes.
In all, it is now licensed in 45 jurisdictions globally as it continues to expand its presence in the Americas. As well as it’s U.S. growth, in February, it was authorized to operate as a Certification Laboratory in Peru. Two months later it received a license to provide its iGaming services in Brazil.
