Esports Technologies, a provider of betting technologies for Esports games, has changed its name to Ebet. This new brand better reflects the company’s business model and its focus on technology and betting services.

Name change will take effect today, 5 May. New logos and website branding are also planned.

It said that its new Ebet branding would emphasize its focus on providing services to the wagering markets of millennials and Generation Z, and its commitment to sports fans and casino game enthusiasts.

Aaron Speach, Ebet’s chief executive officer, said: “My leadership team and myself believe that this is the perfect time to rebrand Ebet to better reflect our current and future selves.” This new brand and its evolving positioning illustrates our increasing ambition to service the entire Gen Z and Millennial market.

Rebranding follows several developments in the company, including its January filing of a patent for a betting system that will enable players to wager on price decreases and increases on groups of financial instrument.

The provider acquired a British gambling licence in December as part of a separate deal that was signed with the acquisition of Aspire Global B2C assets. Ebet acquired Aspire’s B2C business for $70.6m ($75.9m/PS60.6m/EUR71.6m) in the same month. This gave Ebet control over Aspire’s B2C content and sportsbook brand portfolio.

Ebet has also acquired online casino and sportsbook brands such as Hopa, Griffon, BetTarget and Dansk777. This allowed Ebet over 1,25 million customers to deposit in 15 different countries.
