International Game Technology has extended its partnership with Loterie Nationale Belgium, the national lottery of Belgium.
This agreement covers LNB’s online and retail lottery offerings.
IGT continues to offer central system technology, as well as related products for both lottery and ilottery.
This agreement extends the partnership of IGT with LNB for more than 30 Years.
Jannie Haek, LNB’s chief executive officer said: “IGT has helped us modernise and grow our business for 30 years.”
This extension will ensure that players continue to receive the same quality experience they have at retail points of sale as well as when playing online.
Jay Gendron is IGT’s Chief Operating Officer for Global Lottery. He said: “IGT and LNB have worked together to keep up with the ever-evolving trends in lottery.
IGT’s core systems for lottery and ilottery are flexible and can be adapted to meet the needs of LNB in terms of retail, digital or omnichannel sales. The Lottery also relies on a variety of components to support its mission.
Sales of Global Gaming and PlayDigital
IGT revealed earlier this month that it is considering “strategic options” for both its Global Gaming segment and PlayDigital.
IGT’s board said it was considering potential options, which could include the sale of two companies or a merger. Board members will consider retaining the segment and investing further in it.
IGT stated that the evaluation of alternative options will aim to “unlock the full value” of their portfolio, but they did not provide a timeframe for the review.
It also stated that it is not certain whether the group’s exploration of alternative strategic options will lead to a transaction.
