Caesars has launched mobile sports betting in Washington through an app at its partner casino.

The operator unveiled the Caesars Sportsbook Muckleshoot app at Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Wash. on Sept. 19. The app can be downloaded and used anywhere on the Muckleshoot Casino Resort property.

The state of Washington only allows sports betting at tribal casinos and mobile sports betting apps are only legal if offered solely to customers physically located on the host casino property. Caesars Sportsbook Muckleshoot is the third such app in the Evergreen State, joining BetMGM’s Emerald Queen Casino app and the Snoqualmie Casino Sports Mobile app.

Caesars has been taking bets at Muckleshoot since 2022 through its retail Caesars Sportsbook at the casino.

“The Caesars Sportsbook Muckleshoot app enhances the experience we’ve brought to Muckleshoot guests since the property’s best-in-class sportsbook in 2022,” said Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital. “This launch underscores our commitment to offering seamless, innovative gaming options with the largest array of markets, including same-game parlays and live NFL games streaming in the app.”

“The launch of our new mobile betting app represents a significant milestone for Muckleshoot Casino Resort, enhancing our offering and providing guests with an even more convenient and immersive sports betting experience,” added the venue’s CEO Tim Perkins.

“We’re always focused on delivering cutting-edge technology to elevate the excitement for our guests … This app does exactly that.”

Caesars expanding land-based sportsbook presence

The new app at Muckleshoot is the latest move Caesars has made to reinforce its land-based presence in the U.S. sports betting market.

This week, Caesars Entertainment opened Maine’s first in-person sports betting location at the new Oddfellahs venue through a partnership with First Tracks Investments LLC.

The new state-of-the-art sports bar brings in-person sports betting to the Pine Tree State for the first time. Caesars already offered mobile betting in Maine through a partnership with three of the Wabanaki Nations.

Elsewhere, earlier this month, Caesars secured a deal in Washington, D.C. to become the exclusive provider of retail betting kiosks through an agreement with the D.C. Office of Lottery and Gaming.

Caesars has been authorized to supply self-service kiosks to 53 businesses in D.C., replacing GambetDC as the district’s previous retail supplier. The sportsbook has operated a retail sportsbook at Capital One Arena since 2021 and launched district-wide mobile betting in D.C. in July.
