Softswiss acquires stake in major European Social Casino

Following Turfsport’s acquisition in January 2024, Softswiss will bet large with an stake in Ously Games GmbH.

Softswiss, a provider of igaming technologies, has acquired a stake “significant” in the social gambling site. Ously Games’ most famous social casino, SpinArena.net is owned by the company.

Softswiss, as a result its investment in Ously Games located in Germany will provide a major technological overhaul.

Softswiss, despite not listing the stake total, is believed to be interested in social casino growth.

SpinArena.net is the primary social casino of Ously Games and it’s believed to have more slots than any other social casino in Europe. Ously’s “player base” is said to have tripled since 2023. This “nearly” amounts to 700,000. The casino, which has more than 3,000 titles from 40 different providers, is said to generate a turnover of EUR1m per year.

Softswiss has made a number of announcements over the past few months, including Ously. The provider expanded into Africa in January by acquiring Turfsport.

Softswiss, like Ously did not disclose the amount of money spent nor the value of stake. Softswiss did state that the acquisition would allow it to expand its market reach and strengthen its product line.

Turfsport provides solutions for sports betting, lotto and horse racing. Turfsport currently has more than 40 South African operators as clients.

The co-CEO at the time Andrey starovoitov stated that the acquisition is a quick and efficient method for the company to expand into new markets.

Starovoitov said, “Softswiss has taken a major step in expanding its business into South Africa as well as the African continent with this agreement.” I believe that this is the region which will be the focus of global attention after Latin America.
