Pennsylvania Diversity Report shows an increase in Female Employment

According to a diversity report released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the number of female employees at gambling venues in the state will increase for 2020/21.

Pennsylvania casino statistics showed an increase of 5,849 female employees between June 30, 2020 and June 30, 2021. This is up from the 4,219 women employed in 2019/20. It is down on the 7237 figures recorded before the pandemic of novel coronaviruses (Covid-19).

Lady Luck Casino, Nemacolin had more women than men – 618 to 575. Mohegan Sun Pocano had the best balance of female and male staff, as 46.3% were women.

In 2020-21, the number of African Americans and Asians also increased. In 2020-21, 15% of the staff are African Americans, up from 13%. The same figure is 14% for Asians.

The amount of charitable donations made by operators has decreased, falling 7.6% this year to $12.2m.
