Gross gaming revenue and handling from land-based sports betting and online gambling in Iowa fell on a month-to-month basis, but increased compared to the same period in 2021.

The combined handle of land-based, online and mobile betting for sports was $215m. This is a fall of 28.8% compared to January 2022. However, it’s an increase by 50.3% if viewed year-on-year.
The total handled was $195m, and the rest of the money came from land-based sports betting.
The combined GGR fell by 39.8% from one month to the next, but rose 11.4% compared with February 2021. The total GGR was $7.9m, and this included both online and mobile sports bets. Land-based sports betting contributed $589,920.
Diamond Joe Worth was followed closely by Wild Rose Jefferson (16.7%) in terms of market share. Wild Rose Clinton had a market share of 12.9%, which was the second highest in the month.
