Flutter announced its UK and Ireland businesses will be donating more than PS8.0m ($10.0m/EUR9.3m) in 2023 to charitable organizations and initiatives.

The funds were donated to various charities over the course of this year. Flutter stated that this is part of their global commitment to “Do More”.

The Do More initiative is part of Flutter’s Positive Impact Plan. It aims to assist 10 million people in 2030. Flutter’s staff will be able to work in three areas: Sport & Play; Health & Wellbeing; and Tech4Good.

Support charities with a multi-brand strategy

Flutter announced a series of charity initiatives over the past few weeks. The brands involved were Paddy Power (via Sky Betting & Gaming, SBG), Betfair and Sky Betting & Gaming.

Paddy Power made an announcement earlier this week that it would donate up to PS1.0m (£1.1m) to Prostate Cancer UK. Paddy Power is the lead sponsor of 2023 PDC World Darts Championship. This brand is donating PS1,000 per 180 hits during the tournament that begins today.

Betfair announced its support of both the Injured Jockeys’ Fund and Irish Injured Jockeys Charity last month. Betfair will donate an initial PS100,000. It will also give PS5,000 to every ambassador Rachel Blackmore who wins between Betfair Chase Day & the Grand National. Flutter estimated that this would total around PS250,000.

Sky Bet also launched its PS6.0m Building Foundations Fund in partnership with English Football League. Flutter says this is the largest sponsor-funded fund dedicated to solely community activities.

EFL clubs may bid up to PS100,000.00 to fund new programs or invest in existing ones. Sky Bet has committed to investing PS1.0m annually, beginning with the 2023-24 season.

Flutter has also raised a total of PS250,000 through charity events. The funds were divided between two charities, BUMBLEance and the Children’s Ambulance Service of Ireland.

Flutter commits to the “highest standard”

Flutter UKI CEO Ian Brown stated, “I’m really proud of all the work the UKI division did this year as part of Flutter Group Positive Impact Plan to Do More in our Communities.”

Our market leaders have launched creative, impactful campaigns to support causes close to the hearts of our customers and colleagues.

We are committed to making an impact and hold Flutter up to the highest industry standards.
