Fantasy Sports Interactive Limited has been notified by the Malta Gaming Authority that it is no longer in possession of the Type 4 B2B license, as the company failed to pay the MGA fees and comply with MGA instructions.

This business was founded in 2012. It provides solutions for fantasy sportsbooks, which allow operators to bet on the performance of individual players in fantasy games.

Clients include Hollywoodbets, OPAP, 888 and Intralot.

The MGA, however, revealed to us last month (21st December) that this business had “failed to comply with a directive issued by the Authority and […] failed to timely pay all the amounts due to Authority”.

It was noted that this violation is in contravention of Regulation 9(1) of Malta’s Gaming Regulations.

It is therefore no longer allowed to engage in gaming. The company must pay any debts it owes to the regulator immediately.

MGA has cancelled several other licenses in the past year. These include those issued to Evobet and CZ Trading, Cyberslotz Services (which did not pay regulatory fees) as well as Magic Service Limited which had failed to pay an annual licence fee.
