Dutch Gaming Authority Issues Penalty Order to Winbet

The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has issued a penalty order against Winbet NV for offering gambling services without the necessary license in the Netherlands.

Winbet was found to have hosted unlicensed games of chance on four websites: galaxyspins.com, winnercasino1.bet, superb1.bet, and doctorspins.com. As a result, a penalty of €280,000 per week has been imposed, up to a maximum of €840,000, if Winbet does not stop offering these services.

The investigation revealed that players could easily create accounts, deposit money, and participate in these illegal games, with no restrictions to prevent Dutch users from accessing the sites. The KSA is strict on unlicensed gambling to protect players in the regulated Dutch market, and penalties like this are often effective in quickly halting illegal operations.

Additionally, fines can be imposed for the period during which illegal services were available.
