According to Denmark’s regulator Spillemyndigheden, Denmark’s gambling revenue rose by 7.8% year-on-year in November, fueled by significant double-digit growth in the online casino sector.
The revenue for November reached DKK654 million (£74.1 million/€87.6 million/$90.7 million), surpassing DKK608 million from the same month last year and marking a 6.0% increase from October 2024.
Online casinos continued to lead in revenue generation, reaching DKK295 million in November. This marks a 17.9% year-on-year increase and a 3.9% rise compared to October.
Slots dominated online casino revenue in November, contributing 77.4%. Blackjack accounted for 6.7%, roulette 6.6%, poker 3.5%, bingo 3.1%, and other games 2.7%.
While online casino revenue grew rapidly, other segments saw slower growth. Sports betting generated DKK232 million in November, up just 0.3% year-on-year. Mobile betting accounted for 65.4% of this, with desktop wagering at 14.7%, and 19.9% from retail locations. Physical slot machines contributed DKK95 million, a 1.9% increase, with 79.3% from gaming halls and 20.7% from restaurant slots. Land-based casinos added DKK31 million, a modest 0.8% year-on-year rise.
