The Bureau of Immigration and NBI conducted a joint operation, arresting 32 foreign nationals involved with illegal POGOs in Parañaque City.

BI intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. revealed that the foreigners were engaged in online gaming and scam operations in Aseana City. The raid resulted in the arrest of 20 Chinese nationals, 11 Malaysians, and one Cambodian.

Joel Anthony, BI Commissioner, mentioned:

Let this be a warning to foreign nationals who blatantly continue illegal operations despite the ban of the President. We will not stop until all illegal aliens are arrested and deported.

The BI stated that more arrests and deportations are anticipated following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s July 2024 ban on POGO operations. The 32 foreigners will stay in NBI custody during deportation proceedings.
