888poker is the online poker section of 888 Holdings. It returned a record-breaking amount of money to its players as part of their fair gaming policy in 2022.
A total of $287,292 (PS239,300/EUR269,998) was refunded from accounts that 888poker said had violated its policy on fair play.
A total of 6,801 customers received funds, with an average of $42 returned per player. This is a 32 percent increase over the detections made in 2021.
The use of bots, real-time advisors (RTAs), and software to gain unfair advantage over players in real life is a problem that continues to plague online poker. 888poker has invested more in their own detection abilities to combat this within their network.
It also claimed to have detected collusion between players in order to obtain unfair advantages.
Matan Krakow is 888poker’s Head of Poker Offering. He said: “At the 888poker poker room, we are very serious about game integrity.” This year, thanks to our investments in new technology, the cooperation of players and our team’s hard work, we increased our detection rate for bot accounts, RTA, and collusion. We returned almost $290,000.
In the coming year, we’ll continue to put our focus in this area, to make sure that our customers enjoy a safe and fair experience while playing with 888poker.
