The gaming technology company Playtech will expand its poker offering through a deal with the Swedish gambling firm Svenska Spel Sport & Casino.

Svenska Spel launched Playtech’s Poker offering and the ipoker Network. The operator is aiming to improve its product by “modernising and improving” it.

This updated platform brings with it a variety of new features. This includes a mobile-friendly experience as well as the connection to the Ipoker Network. The network gives users access to more tournaments, a bigger prize pool and a greater liquidity pool.

The agreement builds on Svenska Spel’s partnership with Playtech in 2019. In the previous agreement, Playtech provided Svenska Spel with a suite of live casino games and online casinos.

Svenska Spel and Playtech mark new partnership

Playtech has recently obtained a supplier license in Sweden, as per the requirements of new regulations. According to the provider, the agreement marked an “important development” for the company.

Marat Koss said that Playtech was “delighted to expand its partnership” with Svenska Spel. He also said that the deal would increase Playtech’s footprint in Sweden.

He said: “This is the positive result of our poker investments, since renewed licensees like Svenska Spel choose us to continue collaboration.” We are pleased to welcome Svenksa Spel into the ipoker Family.

Fredrik Hard is the head of Poker & Bingo at Svenska Spel. He added, “Playtech’s new poker product launch represents a major step for Svenska Spel.” We are now part of the international network ipoker and we’re constantly looking for ways to enhance the experience our existing customers in Sweden have.

This deal is proof that Playtech offers a high-quality product and we look forward to seeing this partnership grow in the future.
