The French lottery operator Francaise des Jeux reported revenues of EUR662m ($726.5m/PS583.9m) in the first quarter 2023 ended on 31 March.
The performance of FDJ in Q1 2020 was up 8%.
The revenue grew by 5.3% on a comparable basis, based on a pro-forma for 2022 that included revenues from FDJ’s Aleda point-of-sale segment and the payment service L’Addition.
The lottery revenue was up 6.4% compared to Q1 2022 at EUR497m. Sports betting revenue went up by 0.2% but remained fairly flat at EUR129m.
The operator’s total wagering during the third quarter was EUR5,49bn, an increase of 8.6%. The total was EUR698m, with EUR698m being digital stakes.
The revenue from points of sales increased by 6.9% to EUR4,79bn.

FDJ has appointed Guillaume Wanneroy to the position of managing director at its audiovisual division ImSoprod.
