Wazdan is entering Michigan’s online casino market through its affiliation with Caesars Entertainment.

The iGaming developer has launched a series of titles in the Wolverine State on Caesars through its partnership with Light & Wonder. Wazdan is leveraging Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform to launch some of its top-grossing titles on Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino. The Wazdan titles available to players in Michigan include 9 Coins, Grand Gold Edition, Magic Spins and Hot Slot: 777 Crown.

Wazdan’s debut in the Midwest also includes the launch of its engagement-boosting mechanics, which are designed to generate revenue for operators. The mechanics, Cash Infinity, Hold the Jackpot and others, provides players with more ways to win.

“Wazdan’s entry into Michigan is a true testament to the strength of our dynamic portfolio, which has continued to build momentum in the North American market,” said Wazdan CCO Andrzej Hyla. “Going live with a renowned operator such as Caesars enables us to continue this trajectory and capture this truly exciting market.”

Wazdan’s launch in Michigan builds on previous efforts by the company to bolster its reach across North America.

Last month, the Malta-based developer expanded its footprint in New Jersey’s iGaming market through Caesars. Wazdan launched its series of titles in the Garden State through Caesars’ online platforms building on previous partnerships with Hard Rock, PlayStar, and BetMGM. New Jersey marked the first U.S. market for Wazdan.

The developer is also planning to bring its products to players in West Virginia.

Promising market for Wazdan

Wazdan is poised to continue to reap the benefits of Michigan’s growing iGaming market.

In July, online casinos in Michigan generated $191.4 million in gross receipts. By comparison, operators posted a $153.5 million handle for the same month last year. Operators paid $35.9 million in taxes in July compared to $28.7 million in July 2023.

BetMGM closed July as the most profitable online casino in Michigan. The MGM Grand Detroit partner saw gross receipts reach $50.7 million, up from $49 million in July 2023.
