FansUnite sold Betting Hero for $37.5m to GeoComly founders

FansUnite US has sold its US affiliate to GeoComply, and the co-founders of Betting Hero for $37.5m. (PS29.6m/EUR35m).

GeoComply will acquire a 40% share in FansUnite US, as reported by iGB Affiliate. Jai Maw, Jeremy Jakary and Betting Hero’s co-founders will have a 60 percent stake in the company.

Betting Hero, founded in 2018, by Maw Jakary. Over 20 North American states have legalized igaming.

Anna Sainsbury is the CEO of GeoComply. She said, “Jai & Jeremy built a fantastic business and have a laser like vision for their customer’s mission to provide the best user experience possible through the registration process.”

GeoComply shares this vision. Through this investment we are thrilled to support Betting Hero in their endeavors. “We will focus more on serving our North American customers.”

FansUnite sold BetPrep, its assets to Stram Entertainment. The partnership will be in place by February 2023. FansUnite receives a 30 percent revenue share as part of the agreement. The agreement runs 36 months after the closing date of September 2023.

In May 2023, the company sold Scottish focused sportbook McBookie and online casino McBookie as well to a third party. It sold the $1.6 million asset that it had purchased two years earlier.

FansUnite’s sale to GeoComply, Betting Hero and the co-founders of Betting Hero is expected to be completed in August.
