WIREX is a software house that provides entertainment platforms for gaming, betting, and gambling operators. It was established in 1996 in Italy and started developing gaming applications in 1998 for a well-known UK licensed bookmaker. Wirex aimed to create a user-friendly platform that players could use in their everyday life. They developed a software with a unique account and e-wallet, supporting multiple currencies and languages. In 2002, Wirex introduced the first flash betting platform on the internet, which had a revolutionary interface. They were chosen as the software provider for SportingBet Italia Spa in 2004. In 2007, Wirex developed the new version of the PSQF protocol to connect to the Italian gaming authority. They also entered the gambling software industry and worked on a Live Casino project with Portomaso Casino. Wirex became an authorized AAMS provider in 2009, making it easier for Italian concession owners to connect to AAMS and operate in the Italian legal betting and gaming market. In 2010, Wirex launched online slot machines developed with Portomaso Casino’s Slot managers & technicians.
