Operators, associations, and other industry professionals have expressed their support for the #EmbraceEquity campaign ahead of International Women’s Day, 8 March.
More than 50 organizations, led by Square in the Air and All-in Diversity, have joined forces to support the International Women’s Day #EmbraceEquity this year.
BetMGM, Betsson and Entain are just a few of the major operators that have supported this campaign under the #GamingAsOne tag. Organisations such as Godolphin Racing and the British Horseracing Authority have used the hashtag #AllintheRace.
This year’s International Women’s Day was supported by Massachusetts Gaming commissions and Malta Gaming Authority, as well as companies like Better Collective and Clarion.
Square in the air and All-in Diversity have partnered again for another year. The companies collaborated last year for a video campaign in advance of International Women’s Day 2022.
The partnership celebrates the achievements and personal stories of women who have contributed to the industry this year.
Tina Thakor-Rankin is co-founder of the All-in Diversity Project. She stated that the partnership with Square in the Air will be slightly different from the video campaign last year.
She stated that “Last Year, our International Women’s Day campaign was delivered in close collaboration with Square in The Air and sought to highlight the sometimes surprising personal experiences of women who work in the gaming and betting sectors.” It is time to celebrate the incredible achievements of women working in our industry into 2023.
“This campaign highlights that this industry strives to fully “embrace equity” and that different experiences can make us stronger.
Square in the Air’s creative director Ellen Kirby said it was encouraging to see the sector support the campaign.
Kirby stated, “We have been amazed by the amazing achievements of women around the world as part of this campaign. But more importantly, it serves as reminder that each person has their own story, their own experiences, and a unique set to celebrate.”
“Under #GamingAsOne hashtags, it’s encouraging to see the largest betting, gaming, and racing organizations in the world unify to celebrate our diversity.
The complete list of supporting companies and the achievements and experiences of women featured in the campaign will be shared on social media on International Women’s Day (8/3).
