The ICE2023 event is rapidly approaching. SBC has been talking to some of the most prominent names in the industry to get an idea of what to expect.
Mikael LIjtenstein, CEO at AstroPay, is this time in the hot seat. Lijtenstein, CEO of AstroPay, explains to SBC News why meeting with existing and new partners in a face-to-face environment allows the payments provider to “build relations, exchange ideas, and generate new projects” ahead of ICE. ICE will take place at ExCel London from 7-9 February.
How can you prepare for an important event like ICE?
AstroPay considers ICE an important event, as it is one of the most important and influential events in the igaming sector. Preparation for this year’s ICE has taken us months. Our booth N9-440 will be home to around 20 people representing different parts of the globe.
We have a large and beautiful space that can host customers, merchants, and providers, as well as visitors who are interested in learning more about us and our offerings. It will be an exciting experience and I look forward to networking with others and making the most of ICE in February.
What are your primary duties and priorities at ICE?
I will be meeting with providers and clients to show the benefits of our solutions and to get their feedback about how we can improve our offerings. AstroPay believes in listening to customers and ICE is the ideal venue and opportunity to do this.
What do you most look forward to at this year’s event?
To meet clients, We value the opportunity to meet clients face-to-face as we are a global brand and appreciate those conversations that allow us to build relationships, share ideas, and create new projects.
What is your main product focus during the show?
One Touch, our digital wallet solution that allows users to pay directly on a merchant’s website without having to leave it, will be showcased. This option can directly impact conversion rates, increasing merchant revenue and providing seamless payment experiences for users.
We will also discuss improvements to the One Touch checkout flow. In this case, we eliminated some steps and presented the payment options in a selector. This allows for a simpler and more user-friendly flow.
Our Visa and Mastercard debit cards, which are currently available in Brazil, Peru, and the UK, will be presented to you. Plans are underway for expansion in other markets. These cards enable users to make international payments on sites that accept these well-known payment services.
Where is AstroPay at ICE located?
Our team will be present at booth N9-444 where they will be pleased to meet visitors and walk them through our payment options.
Which ICE memory is your favorite?
ICE 2022. After several years of living and working in Covid lockdown, it was the first time they had met face-to-face. It was great to be reunited in person and experience that feeling of teamwork.
Finally, we gathered together as a team at the booth and began to work together, motivating one another to achieve the best results and take advantage of every opportunity. Last year’s ICE slogan stated that “together never felt so great “.
What are your typical post-ICE activities? What do you do right after the exhibition?
We will return to our countries to meet with various teams and reflect on the plans of action and develop a plan to move forward with the projects we discussed during ICE.
