Sisal, a Flutter-owned operator, announced it was unifying its Italian operations under one legal entity, Sisal Italia SpA.
The Italian-facing company will merge its Italian lottery subsidiary Sisal Lottery Italia with its gaming division Sisal Entertainment in order to create the new entity.
According to the business, the new company’s share capital is now 100% owned by Sisal SpA, the parent company of the company. The new business now owns 100% in Sial Gaming Srl. Sisal directs this company, which specializes in the rental, development and management of gaming machines as well as the creation and maintenance of gaming software.
Flutter acquisition
In August 2022, the EUR1.91bn Flutter purchase of Sisal was completed. Flutter stated that the transaction was part the business strategy to build leadership positions across a variety of regulated global markets.
It is also the operator of the Italian National Lottery and continues to be the country’s largest gaming company in many verticals. Sisal had 11.9% market share in 2022 and was 0.5% less than market leader Lottomatica.
