Great Canadian Entertainment announced that the new entertainment resort will be called Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto upon its opening this summer.
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is located at the intersection of Highways 401 & 427, near Woodbine Racetrack. It will be spread over 33 acres and include a modern Vegas-style casino.
It will feature 400 hotel rooms and a 5,000-seat live entertainment venue. There will also be multiple on-site dining options. This venue promises ‘best in class gaming, entertainment, and hospitality experiences.
Great Canadian Entertainment announced that the Casino Woodbine will continue uninterrupted until the new Great Canadian Resort Toronto opens.
“We see it as an unprecedented chance to introduce an entirely different, world-class experience Canada that will combine the best in casino gambling, exceptional live entertainment and dining in one very special location,” said Matthew Anfinson CEO of Great Canadian Entertainment.
“We are excited to share more information about this landmark destination and what our guests should expect in the coming weeks. This includes an opening date.
“This project was many years in the making and we are excited that we are getting close to bringing this to fruition.”
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, in partnership with Gaming and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming will have a PlaySmart Centre that offers gambling knowledge and tools to help players build and sustain positive gambling habits.
