Gauselmann Group, Scientific Games and Scientific Games are looking to strengthen their workforces with key hires.
Merkur Casino
Irina Ru set the goal to maintain Merkur Casino’s strong position worldwide after she was appointed Managing Director International at the Gauselmann Group subsidiary.
Ruf, who has been with the group for close to 15 years, will be responsible for growing and securing existing markets as well as securing new acquisitions in international markets.
Merkur Casino operates 800 arcades in Germany and Europe. It is replacing Stefan Bruns who has stepped into a different role at Gauselman.

“Based on her extensive career history, Ms. Ruf brings all the necessary qualifications to succeed in expanding and maintaining Merkur Casino’s international business activities.”
Gauselmann Group
Stefan Bruns was announced as a board Member of the Gauselmann Group. This group is responsible for online gaming and sports betting.
The position will take effect from April 1, 2023. He will be responsible for strengthening the online and land-based sports betting offerings, expanding virtual slots gaming, and pushing internationalisation.

His expertise and experience are great prerequisites for managing the newly created segment of online gambling and sports betting,” said Paul Gauselmann the founder of the company and chair of the management board.

Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario will be conducting an executive search to support a successor for Tom Mungham who is retiring later this year as CEO and Registrar.
In 2006, he joined the AGCO as Director of Licensing and Registration. He then became CEO and Registrar until 2020.
He will continue to serve as chairman while the board searches for his successor. He has also agreed to support a smooth transition between them.
Lalit Agarwal is the Chair of the AGCO Board of Directors. He said: “On behalf of both the Board and the staff, I want Tom to be thanked for his incredible contributions during his 17-year tenure at the AGCO and, most importantly, for his extraordinary leadership as our CEO and Registrar.

Scientific Games
Scientific Games confirmed the appointment Nick Negro Chief Financial Officer. This was after a nationwide search for the right person to fill the position.
Negro is a self-described “results driven professional” and has held similar roles at Honeywell Corporation, Dover Corporation, Navistar.
After James Bunitsky’s retirement in 1981, he joined the company and led a series transformational changes including the sale to Brookfield Business Partners.

EveryMatrix
EveryMatrix confirmed that Tor Skeie was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of OddsMatrix’s sportsbook division.
The former Head of Product Development will now be responsible for OddsMatrix’s business, which saw a 28% increase in gross profit year-over-year in 2022.
