Allwyn has announced its UK leadership team, as it prepares to assume control of the National Lottery license in the UK.
There are several new recruits in the team. Andria vidler was named as the interim UK CEO Robert Chvatal in July.
Alan Artz, formerly of William Hill, joined Allwyn in the summer as Chief Financial Officer.
Chris Lyman, the CEO of Lotto New Zealand, will also become the chief operating officer. Mark Smith, the current group chief technology officer of commercial broadcaster ITV will take on this role in November.
Lucy Buckley, chief commercial officer and Gaby Heppner Logan, chief assurance and participant safety officer will also be key players. Martin Novak is the interim chief data officer, and Alastair Russell will become chief strategy and corporate affairs.
Jenny Blogg, director of operations and Harry Willits, general counsel, are also among the other appointments. Eddie Bennett and Paul Lumb are now the transformation directors of operations and technology.
From 1 October, the new leadership will come into effect.
National Lottery License
Allwyn UK prepares to take over the National Lottery by February 2024.
Allwyn received the fourth National Lottery license one year ago. This ended Camelot’s 28-year reign.
The Gambling Commission had announced in earlier years that the European lottery operator was their preferred applicant. Camelot filed a legal challenge in relation to the announcement. was withdrawn in later years.
Allwyn then purchased Camelot UK’s operations on November.
Chvatal, Allwyn’s CEO, will transfer the UK leadership team reins to Vidler by October. He said that the team was “talented, with a lot of experience and a personal commitment to deliver for communities in the UK”.
He added, “Andria & I look forward to working together with all of them over the next few years.”
Camelot Handover
The current Camelot CEOs, Neil Brocklehurst, and Clare Swindell are also in favor of the handover.
Chvatal thanked the Camelot team for “their sterling work over many, many years in support of The National Lottery.”
He said: “The National Lottery generates a lot of money for communities in the UK. There is much to be proud about. “I wish them the best of luck for the future.”
Allwyn will retain the influence of Camelot’s team, as several of its executives have moved to Allwyn. Blogg and Heppner Logan are Camelot’s director of commercial affairs and director, regulatory affairs respectively. Sheriff, who was Camelot’s Chief People Officer, shifted to Allwyn in the first half of this year.
