The gambling revenue in Lithuania increased by 26.1% during the first three months of the year, both online and on-land segments showing growth.
The total revenue in Lithuania for the three-month period ending 31 March was EUR55.3m ($59.7m/PS48.0m), compared to EUR43.9m during the similar period last year.
Online gambling generated EUR36.6m, an increase of 36.0% on the previous year. This was mainly due to Category A online slot games, which generated EUR23.1m from EUR306,8m of player bets.
After spending EUR6.3m on betting, consumers also spent EUR979987 in slots of Category B.
Lithuanian remote sports betting revenues reached EUR9.6m after players wagered EUR151.2m. Online table games generated EUR2.9m from EUR31.3m of spend in the third quarter.
The revenue from land-based gaming was 10.0% more at EUR18.7m. Slot machines in category B were the main source of revenue. After players wagered EUR50.7m, EUR8.0m was generated.
The revenue from Category A slots was EUR3.8m, compared to EUR15.8m of bets. Table games were EUR4.4m, compared to EUR20.3m. Sports betting revenue was EUR2.5m versus EUR29.8m.
Lottery results are reported separately. Gross gaming revenues from lotteries in the third quarter grew 9.0%, to EUR14.3m. The results were reported despite a 2.9% decline in ticket sales, which fell to 26.5m.
