BetMGM was named the official partner for MLB’s Boston Red Sox.
This announcement comes before the launch of mobile betting in Massachusetts. This is BetMGM’s first partnership in sports betting with a Massachusetts team.
Matt Prevost is BetMGM’s chief revenue officer. “The Red Sox are one the most loved teams in baseball and we’re delighted to bring BetMGM’s to their passionate fans,” Prevost said. “We look forward working together to improve the gameday experience here in Boston.”
BetMGM promotional material is included in the deal. BetMGM signage will be displayed on Fenway Park’s left-field wall, nicknamed “Green Monster”.
Additionally, brand content will be shared across BetMGM’s social media accounts as well as the Boston Red Sox’s.
BetMGM will have its own suite in the stadium. VIP fan experiences will be offered in the suite by the operator, which includes batting practice access, ceremonial pitches, premium seats, and alumni appearances.
Troup Parkinson, the Boston Red Sox’s executive vice president of partnership, stated that BetMGM was a proud partner of theirs in the wake the Massachusetts mobile betting authorization.
He said that BetMGMG was the obvious choice to be the first partner in sports betting, due to their strong relationship with MGM Resorts. “We look forward to offering sports betting options to our fans in safe and responsible ways,” he added.
