The 2023-24 National Football League season has been completed for one week. Matt Prevost is BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer and he says that BetMGM wants to make this a successful year.
BetMGM has made a number of changes to the sports betting experience during the off-season. This was fueled by the popularity and demand for the NFL, as well as a desire to continually improve the service.
Prevost says that the BetMGM App is making a huge leap this season, with its new features and improved user experience. “Same Game Parlay+ is a new feature.”
We have seen a tremendous amount of activity and demand for Same Game Parlays from our customers. We expect that fans will take advantage of the new functionality and combine multiple Same Game Parlays to get exponentially better odds this season.
BetMGM also brings a local flavor to its sportsbook on legal markets. Prevost notes that the sportsbook offers “exclusive odds boosters for our partner teams, so fans can get 50% live odds boosts when their team is playing.”
Big changes, big impact
BetMGM has NFL partners including the Baltimore Ravens (NFL), Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL), Las Vegas Raiders (NFL) and New York Jets.
Zoom out and you will see that BetMGM made major changes to its overall app. The same app can be used to access the sportsbook even if the user is in a different state.
Prevost says that the new system simplifies and improves the user experience.
BetMGM has launched a $100,000 Survivor Pool ahead of the NFL 2023 kickoff to encourage new signups and user engagement.
Prevost says that “we see a large number of new users joining BetMGM during the first [NFL] seasons for a variety reasons, including the Survivor Pool.”
The Survivor Pool is a great way for BetMGM customers to interact with us throughout the week.
In the Survivor Pool, players choose one team each week to win. If the team wins the player gets to choose a new team the following week. In the event of a loss, the player will be eliminated for the entire season. The prize is split between the last two players.
The Ambassador Effect
BetMGM has launched 8-Bit Barry in conjunction with the Survivor Pool. This is a product that takes full advantage of its partnership with former Detroit Lions runningback Barry Sanders.
It’s an excellent feature that celebrates nostalgic video games and gives customers a way to interact with bonuses, boosts and more. Prevost says that it’s not necessary to wait until game day to let our customers play and win with the BetMGM App.
BetMGM is a big name in the world of sports betting. In addition to Barry Sanders, Jamie Foxx also serves as an ambassador.
Prevost says that BetMGM is at the intersection between sports and entertainment. “Having marquee names such as Foxx and Sanders share the BetMGM experience perfectly showcases our exciting style, as the premier sports gambling experience,” says Prevost.
“Barry Sanders, in particular, elevates 8-Bit Barry’s free-to play from a random experience into this unique game that has one of the greatest running backs ever in the game right at your fingertips. We are always looking for new ways to entertain our fans with our ambassadors.
Drive the product home
The sport of football has a lot more drives off the field than on it.
Prevost says that football is the main driver for product innovation at BetMGM. Every year, football breaks engagement records. We must continue to improve so that our sports betting platform is the best in the industry.
This year we’ve taken more steps to create the best mobile sports wagering product. As the year progresses, you will see that many of these updates – like Same Game Parlay+ — are available for other sports.
