The PGA Tour joined the National Council on Problem Gambling‘s leadership group and renewed a platinum membership along with the US non-profit.
The Tour will also launch a cross-platform campaign to support problem gambling awareness month in February. This campaign is responsible for delivering high-quality messaging about education and resources through a variety of media channels.
Organizations that invest in the leadership circle to support the NCPG ensure the viability and sustainability of their overall operations, future growth, and innovation.
“We are grateful to the PGA Tour for their support and look forward to continuing collaboration as we work together to provide responsible gambling education to golf fans across the nation,” stated Keith Whyte.
“The PGA Tour’s extensive reach will raise public awareness about problem gambling and make it easier for people to access treatment and recovery services throughout Problem Gambling Awareness Month as well as throughout the year.”
The PGA Tour is joined by several other top sports and betting organizations in the leadership group, such as the professional golf tour’s official bet operators FanDuel or DraftKings .
Scott Warfield is VP Gaming at the PGA Tour. He stated that “properly preparing and educating fans on responsible gambling will always remain a key focus of our sports betting strategy for the PGA Tour.”
