Mindway AI is a player protection software provider that has teamed with AnonyMind to help combat gambling addiction.
The partnership will combine Mindway AI’s advanced player protection with AnonyMind’s expertise in gambling harm treatment to create a comprehensive solution that is tailored for players at risk.
Operators who use Mindway AI software can offer their players direct access to AnonyMind counselling services, which will help them “take proactive steps to treat and prevent addiction”.
Rasmus kjaergaard is the CEO of Mindway AI. He said: “At Mindway AI we are committed using our technology to assist operators in promoting responsible gambling and preventing addiction. We are excited to partner with AnonyMind who shares our commitment to addressing the issue.
Mindway AI is deployed in 21 countries, reaching over 6.5 million players each month. It combines machine-learning algorithms with psychologists’ assessments. This allows it to identify at-risk gambling behavior as early as possible.
AnonyMind offers psychological treatment to those who are struggling with gambling addiction. Treatment is personalised, evidence-based, confidential and delivered by clinical psychologists via “bonafide treatment methods, such as high-intensity cognitive-behavioural therapy, 3rd Wave CBT models, DBT-informed approaches and EMDR”.
A “clinical formulation”, which matches individuals with the best therapists for tailored treatment, is used. Support is offered to family members of those affected.
Andrew Plummer Head of Partnerships, AnonyMind said: “This partnership is a first of its kind, integrating Mindway’s leading AI technologies with AnonyMind CarePlus to identify problem gambling in an operator’s network and to provide independent, flexible, and sustainable intervention to prevent the escalation harmful behaviours.
We look forward to the collaboration and the valuable insights that can be gained from truly independent early detection and intervention.
In March, Mindway AI and the Hellenic Gaming Commission formed a partnership to enhance player protection in Greece.
