Odds On Compliance announced the launch Playbook Brazil. This expands its operations to a third continent, and broadens the scope of their flagship product.
Playbook Brazil provides operators with regulatory and compliance information and tools as the regulated markets prepares to launch in 2024 and later this year.
The product is already available in US Canada and Europe. It offers clients updated regulations and documentation on sports betting, DFS and igaming.
The Playbook AI upgrade version allows users the ability to search for specific regulations, and to ask questions about compliance.
The anticipation of the launch of the Brazilian market has intensified after Lula formally signed the provisional measure for sports betting. This event was around five years in preparation.
This measure establishes a framework for sports betting in Brazil. Operators are subject to a GGR of 18% and can obtain licenses from any federal state.
Eric Frank is the CEO and co-founder of Odds On Compliance. He said: “We’re thrilled to announce our latest expansion in South America, with PlayBook Brazil. This is a major step for our company, as we continue to offer innovative solutions in the gaming and sports betting industries.
Brazil presents enormous opportunities and we are committed in helping our clients, as well as all PlayBook subscribers, navigate the complex regulatory environment.
Odds On Compliance, in addition to bringing its Playbook product to Brazil, has also enlisted the help of local experts who can maximize Brazilian opportunities. The firm has partnered up with the betting and gaming law firm Feijo Bertolini Advogados in order to gain more insight into Brazil’s legal framework.
Ricardo Feijo of Feijo Bertolini stated that “we are proud to be partners with Odds On Compliance, and be part of PlayBook Brazil.” The gaming industry in Brazil will benefit from this synergy of legal expertise and compliance.
“Together we aim to provide comprehensive support to industry seeking to thrive on this emerging market.”
As part of Responsible Gambling Awareness Month, SBC Americas talked to Odds On Compliance Director of Regulatory affairs John Wellendorf who explained how operators could achieve RG goals with strong regulatory compliance.
