Lottery retailer Jumbo Interactive extended its software license agreement with Mater Foundation for an additional six-year period, to November 2028.
Jumbo will continue to support Australia-based charity through its Powered by Jumbo software program.
Jumbo stated that the agreement also contains a scale-based and tiered licensing fee structure, which recognizes Mater’s growth and size.
Mike Veverka, chief executive of Jumbo and founder of Jumbo, stated that Mater was the first operator to use the PBJ platform. He also said that Mater is the fastest-growing lottery program in Australia. “The extension shows that the PBJ platform is adding value. I am pleased that we can help Mater grow, and raise vital funds to support health, research, and education services in Queensland.”
Andrew Thomas, executive director of Mater, said: “The adoption and collaboration of the PBJ platform with Jumbo’s digital lotto expertise and collaborative approach have transformed our lottery program.
“The extension provides the foundation for strong, sustainable growth that will raise the much-needed funds for ground-breaking research in medical science, investment in world-leading equipment and development of our healthcare workforce.”
This extended deal is coming after Jumbo, in November 2013, completed the acquisition of UK’s external lottery manager and digital payment business StarVale Group.
Stride Management Corp, a Canadian subsidiary of Jumbo, was also granted a gaming services provider license in British Columbia during December.
