OpenBet has celebrated its 18th state launch. It was launched in Massachusetts via a partnership between FanDuel.
Mobile sports betting is set to be available in the Bay State starting today, just before March Madness.
OpenBet’s same-game parlay product powered by SportCast will be available to all state sportsbooks – including BettMGM and DraftKings.
Cathryn, Chief commercial officer at OpenBet said that it was fantastic to see Massachusetts embrace mobile betting. It will bring a new level of entertainment to the state.
“We had an impressive launch in Ohio in the beginning of this year and we are pleased to bring our searing technology, same-game parlay products and other sports fans to Massachusetts in time for March Madness.
“The whole OpenBet team understands the importance of their role in delivering success to our customers as sportsbooks. Massachusetts is no exception. We’re prepared to take the stage at the landmark launch.
OpenBet believes the Massachusetts market’s gross gaming revenue could reach $500 million after its first year of operation. This is largely due to the state’s sports-centricity.
Analysts believe Massachusetts could be “in the top 10 in sports betting handler and revenue” because it is home to teams like the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
