Bally’s Corporation, a global casino-entertainment firm, announced a major change in its senior management team. The company announced its intention to replace Lee Fenton, its CEO. Bally’s has confirmed that Fenton will continue in this role until March 31, 2023. Robeson Reeves was chosen by the company to replace Fenton. Robeson is an expert in iGaming with almost two decades of experience.
Now, Wednesday’s meeting of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) praised the incoming CEO’s experience and urged it to be considered for the role at Bally’s. This was according to CDC Gaming Reports.
Brittnie Watkins, one NGCB member, spoke about Reeves’ current position as chair of the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance committee (ESG). Reeves assured that his efforts in the ESG vertical would be continued. Reeves also stated that April will see the Board have two women members. This, he believes, is “pretty positive and a step in the right direction.”
“ESG is very dear to my heart. Talent should shine through, and we should allow people to reach their full potential.”
Robeson Reeves is the new CEO of Bally’s Corporation
Reeves received similar support from other NGCB members. George Assad, another regulator, pointed out Reeves’ impressive resume. Kirk Hendrick (Board Chair) also supported Reeves’ new role with Bally’s.
Bally’s concluded the Tropicana deal in autumn, effectively giving the company a presence on the Las Vegas Strip. Reeves was not questioned during the meeting about the company’s plans regarding the property. This topic could be brought up at a future meeting, which is scheduled for the end the month.
Reeves brings decades of experience to Bally’s
Reeves received a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research and Management Studies from University College London in 2005. He joined Gamesys in the same year. He held various senior-level positions throughout his time with the company, including director of gaming operations. He was also elected to Gamesys’ board in August 2010.
Soo Kim, Bally’s chairman, thanked Fenton last month for his leadership, dedication, and continued contributions to the company. Reeves stated that he was honored to have been able to lead Bally’s at the time of the planned change announcement.
