In January, the Nevada Gaming Control Board reported a 18.0% increase in gambling revenue year-on-year in the US state of Nevada. This growth was reflected in all markets.
The month’s revenue was $1.27bn. This is an increase of $1.08bn in January 2022, but 3.1% less than the $1.31bn in December last year.
Slots contributed $874.5m to all month revenue, up 15.9% from the previous month. Multi-denomination slot machines generated $459.1m of revenue. Penny slots revenue was $285.9m.
Revenue from table, counter, and card games reached $425.4m. This is a 22.5% increase over 2022. Blackjack games led the charge with $120.1 million in revenue.
Baccarat accounted for $89.9 million in table, counter, and card game revenue, with $46.2m coming from roulette, and $39.7m from craps.
Referring to sports betting, which is part of the table counter and card game segment, this segment saw a 0.9% increase in revenue to $50.4m. It also included $17.7m from Mobile wagering.
