The Michigan Gaming Control Board has launched a responsible gambling campaign across the state. The initiative, Don’t Regret, aims to encourage moderation in gambling.
The multi-media campaign, which will be delivered in partnership by King Media, will air on TV, radio and many other digital channels. The campaign will also be promoted via billboards, at gas stations and in various retail stores. Don’t be discouraged, the Bet ads will be shown during professional sporting events.
A similar educational site will also be launched to coincide with the launch of the campaign. Michigan citizens can visit dontregretthebet.org, which launches later today, to learn more about the initiative and how to play responsibly.
MGCB reported that the funding for the campaign was part of the FY23 budget as approved by the Michigan Legislature. In its FY24 budget request, the regulator requested continued funding.

This campaign aligns with Michigan’s efforts make gambling safer for citizens. A local senator introduced legislation three weeks ago to combat teenage gambling addiction. Many markets feel that teenage gambling should be addressed as soon as possible.
