Martin Lycka is heading back to Europe as his Safe Bet Show podcast hosts a special live edition at this month’s SBC Summit Barcelona.
Featuring Leon Thomas, Managing Director (Canada) at Entain & CEO of Sports Interaction, the podcast will take place on Tuesday, Sept.21 as part of the Player Protection Symposium at the event.
Thomas will join Lycka to discuss his illustrious career in the industry which has taken him through roles at bwin, Tombola, Mecca Digital and The Rank Group before he settled in his currency role at Entain.
Additionally, he serves as CEO of Sports Interaction after Entain confirmed the acquisition of the brand, which is stylized as ‘the first online sportsbook and casino dedicated to Canadians.
On his appearance at SBC Summit Barcelona on the Safe Bet Show, Thomas commented: ” “As leaders in this industry, we have a moral responsibility to safeguard the well-being of our players. Launched in collaboration with SBC in April 2021, the ‘Safe Bet Show’ is a podcast in which Lycka, Entain’s SVP of American Regulatory Affairs and Social Responsibility as well as the Chair of the Entain Foundation US, delves into the industry’s efforts in dealing with player protection and advancing social responsibility initiatives.
Lycka added: “I am extremely excited to be returning to SBC Summit Barcelona with such a great guest. Leon has a wealth of knowledge on responsible gambling practices and building relationships with regulators and gambling commissions that I believe a lot of the industry could benefit from.
