Luton Town Football Club is one of the oldest clubs in England, being founded back in 1885. Oddsmakers don’t think they’re likely to make their dream come true. Even though they finished the regular season with a better record than Coventry, they’re seen as underdogs in the Championship Playoff Final at Wembley.
But the Hatters love big games like this one. They’re great on the road, with the regular season with the second-best record in away games of all the teams in the league. They also conceded the fewest away goals of all the teams in the 2022-23 Championship.

Sure, they do have some amazing forwards on the roster, most notably, Swedish scoring maestro Viktor Gyokeres. However, it’s their disciplined defense that got them to the Championship Final. You can bet that they’re going to be even more disciplined at the back in the last game of the season.

We don’t think we’ll see too many goals in the 2023 Championship Playoff Final, but this doesn’t mean Luton vs Coventry is going to be a snooze fest. On the contrary, we expect a real battle on the pitch, with extra times and even penalties looking like a strong possibility.
