Liverpool’s prospects in the Champions League are not looking good after they lost 5-2 at home to Real Madrid. However, they will only be able to return to the elite club competition if they finish in the Top 4 of the 2022-23 Premier League.

They are currently six points behind Tottenham, but they still have plenty of time. To do that, however the Reds must win as many games possible, including Sunday’s match against Manchester United.

Liverpool Must Play Better Soccer ASAP

Jurgen Klopp’s team is currently at No. With an 11-6-7 record, Jurgen Klopp’s men are in the No. 6 spot in the Premier League standings. This is a total of 39 points. They are six points behind Tottenham (4th) and Manchester United (10th).

They have not lost in the Prem in any of their four previous games and have conceded zero goals. They were 3-0 hammered in their previous game against Wolves. Although the Reds appear to have improved their defense, at least in EPL, their offense is still very dull.

Sadio Mane:

“Liverpool will come back. They will get out of this mess. Although they had to endure many injuries and difficult tests, Jurgen Klopp is the right man. He will lead Liverpool back up, from this season – the players love him.” pic.twitter.com/0PisIuUxgU

Since Boxing Day, the team that includes Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, Cody Gakpo and others haven’t scored more then two goals per match. However, there is good news. Diogo Jota has finally recovered from his injuries and is now ready to play all 90 minutes, for the first time since October.

The bad news is not good news for the Reds. Along with Luis Diaz and Thiago Alcantara and Ibrahima Konate is Darwin Nunez, who are both out with injuries.

Manchester United in Celebratory Mood

Manchester United’s last game was the final of 2023 Carabao Cup. The Red Devils beat Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley to win their first trophy in many years.

Their 12 th victory of 2023 was also their 10 _th straight win without a loss. The only loss these guys suffered this year was to Arsenal in January. Even though it was close, the Red Devils lost the game 3-2 after conceding the decisive goal in regulation’s final minute.

Prediction: Liverpool vs Manchester United

Manchester United, led by Marcus Rashford in top form, have been incredible this season. Although they’re in great shape, we feel that some of their players could use a rest. They don’t necessarily need to miss Sunday’s game but they do need to slow down. We won’t be seeing a vintage display by the Red Devils.

This is especially true given that they are playing Liverpool at Anfield. Reds are determined to score points, and they have the support of their supporters.

Choose: Liverpool to Win & Over 2.5 Goals
