On December 23, at 5 pm, the Plaza Casino Liechtenstein will open in Schaan in the old Risch laboratory building.
It will be the country’s smallest casino, measuring only 400m2. There are six American Roulette, Blackjack, and Texas Hold’Em gaming tables. The facility also features 90 slots machines. Tobias Abel is the managing director of BestWin AG. He was responsible for the closed Casino Maximus in Schaan from mid-2022 to 2022.
After two closures, six more casinos are now available in Liechtenstein thanks to the recent opening of Castle Casino Vaduz. LC Casino Eschen, which is currently awaiting a license from the Office of Economic Affairs, will be the seventh casino.
There will no more casinos after that until 2025. In a referendum, the electorate in Liechtenstein will determine whether or not the casino industry is to continue. It will take place on Jan 29 2023. This initiative is aimed at banning all casinos. All casinos that have been approved would be required to close after five-year transition.
