Leicester City has no other option but to go for the win on Saturday
Leicester City currently occupies the 18 th place in the Premier League heading into the final round. The Foxes only trail Everton by two points, which is the nearest team to the safety zone. Leicester also has a higher score difference than Everton, which means that even if they both ended up with the same points, Leicester will be placed higher on the standings.
This means, in simple terms that Everton has to beat Bournemouth if they want to stay up. Leicester City and Leeds would be able to jump over them if they were to draw or lose. The former champions have a higher score differential than Leeds and so don’t have to worry about them. Leicester City should only be focused on winning on Saturday.
Can they beat West Ham United? The last time the two teams met, they won. The London Stadium was the venue, and it was a 2-0 win. But this happened during the first half of the year. The Foxes’ performance has been dismal since the beginning of 2023. Since February 11, they’ve only won one match, losing 11 in all competitions and drawing four.
The Hammers don’t care much about the final EPL round
Hammers currently occupy the 14 th place in Premier League. West Ham could end up 16 th in the worst case scenario. The best-case scenario is that West Ham would finish in 12 th position in the EPL standings.
It’s logical, then, to assume that Saturday’s match is not a big deal for the Hammers. In fact, they are focusing on Europe. At the moment, their No. 1 priority is Europe. David Moyes and his team have secured their place in the final of 2023 Europa Conference League. The Final will be held on June 7th.
Moyes may decide to keep some of his biggest stars on the bench this Saturday. Jarrod Bowen for example, who has played in every EPL match for West Ham this season, could start on the bench. Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and others are also candidates.
Prediction for Leicester City vs West Ham
We are pretty confident that Leicester City will win. We’re not certain if this will be enough to keep Leicester City in the Premier League another season. We think Everton is more likely to stay up.
