Kentuckysportsbook operators can begin pre-registering their customers on August 28 ahead of the online launch scheduled for September 28 in the Bluegrass State.
There will be a strict timeline for everything that is related to Kentucky sports gambling.
The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) votes on the approval of the 7 potential licensees in a meeting held on August 22. Operators have six days from that date to mobilise pre-registration. Customers can pre-register their accounts and confirm their identity. However, it will take them an extra 10 days to deposit money.
KHRC has also announced some details regarding the exact times of online and in-person betting.

Kentuckians will be able to pre-register their mobile apps on Monday, August 28 at 6am.
On Thursday, September 7, 10am, bettors can place a wager in person at licensed retail outlets. - Thursday, September 7, at 6am: Wagerers are only allowed to deposit funds into their accounts using approved mobile apps.
- On Thursday, September 28, at 6am: Approved mobile apps can begin taking bets.
The countdown has begun. In a Thursday press release, Gov. Andy Beshear said that sports betting in Kentucky will be available in just three weeks. “We’re ready to provide the high-quality entertainment that Kentuckians have asked for, while also bringing in money to the state so it can support pensions and release funds to help build a better Kentucky.”
