Entain and the NHL Alumni Association have entered into a partnership to promote responsible gaming for ice hockey enthusiasts across the US.
The NHLAA has signed a three-year agreement with the Entain Foundation US, a non-profit organisation. This organization will support the NHLAA through a variety of initiatives.
Entain Foundation US contributes to the NHLAA health and wellness program as well as making its responsible gambling education program available to all NHLAA Members.
Entain Foundation US, in addition to working with the NHLAA, will also work on a new education program. This includes a collaboration with Wager Score – a technology that is patented and uses data to provide insights. It allows bettors and their families to share information about affordability to help guide gaming.
The NHLAA’s president and executive director Glenn Healy stated that the NHLAA was proud to enter this new partnership with Entain Foundation. Our team shares their vision to promote responsible gaming research, education and tools for sports fans.
We look forward to using our collective voice, as well as that of the NHL Alumni, who have all paved the path for the game that we love today, in order to promote safe gambling practices to everyone.
Martin Lycka is the senior vice president of Entain for American regulatory affairs, responsible gambling and trustees of Entain Foundation US. He said: “As sport betting continues to increase in popularity across North America, we must expand our educational efforts.
This new partnership will allow NHL Alumni to access educational and impactful programs about how to prevent gambling harm.
