A survey of journalists in the sports betting industry found that all eyes are on Fanatics, but FanDuel is the consensus king.
Hot Paper Lantern HPL Digital Sport We surveyed two dozen journalists in the US gaming industry, including those from SBC Americas. We asked them their opinions on the top stories, the best operators, and the areas that need to be improved.
FanDuel won the runaway vote to be the top innovator operator when it came time to name the top operator. Respondents were asked about their top three choices. These choices were then awarded three, two and one points, respectively. FanDuel more that doubled the score for Second-place Finisher. These are the results:

- BetMGM: 9 points
- Bet365: 7 points

- Circa: 7 points
When reporters were asked what industry news was most popular, Fanatics’ entry into the market was voted the biggest with 21%. Another story about disruption was not far behind, the rumors of DraftKings expanding its partnership with ESPN.

When you examine the responses, it is clear that most industry pundits believe the US market needs product differentiation and next-generation tech. This makes sense.

They sit across the entire market and talk to every company and executive about topics such as technology, new products and services, pain points and wins, innovation, and technology.
