Only kiosks made up a small percentage of handle in the huge opening month of Ohio sports betting. This is due to the fact that many bars and restaurants still have not installed kiosks on their properties.
Today, IGT announced that it is expanding its presence within the Buckeye State. To bring IGT’s PlaySports QuickBet Kiosks into Ohio bars and restaurants, the company will partner with BetSkybox. BetSkybox has been licensed by the Ohio Casino Control Commission, and the Ohio Lottery to offer wagering kiosks in the state.
BetSkybox has its headquarters in Las Vegas, but it also has what it calls its Network Operating Center(NOC) across the Nationwide Arena. This is where you will find the Columbus Blue Jackets.
“BetSkybox is delighted to offer IGT’s award winning sports betting technology to our licensed partner and offer the convenience PlaySports’ self service betting solutions to many sports fans throughout Ohio,” Ron Frederickson, President Skybox Sports Network/ BetSkybox. IGT’s highly-performing betting solutions will add an extra layer of excitement for patrons who gather at these social venues to watch their favorite teams and sports.
This isn’t the first IGT foray into Ohio sports betting kiosks. Through a partnership and UBet Ohio, the company also launched PlaySports QuickBet Kiosks. Ubet has deployed kiosks in 31 businesses across the state so far.
