iDEA growth, the leading nonprofit trade group representing online gaming and sport betting companies in the rapidly growing regulated gambling industry of the United States has announced that it will adopt a new responsible advertisement code for online gambling and sports betting.
The Association recognized the importance and impact of gambling advertising in regulated jurisdictions. The Association said that advertising online gambling and legal sports betting promotes healthy competition, and offers customers a variety of choices. iDEA also noted that responsible advertising helps promote responsible gambling initiatives.
The Association has reaffirmed its commitment to its Code of Responsible Advertising, which includes Multiple Principles. These include the monitoring and implementation of the code, and the promotion and education of responsible gambling.
iDEA members must also limit advertising in colleges and universities and comply with regulations relating to iGaming, sports betting and other iGaming-related activities. Final principle is to advertise for an audience that is mature enough for online gambling and sports betting. is usually 21 years old and older unless there are specific regulations in a particular state that allow 18-year-olds gambling.
iDEA explained that the Responsible Advertising Committee developed its Responsible Advertising Code. The Association stated that the Code would be reviewed annually and updated as necessary.

He explained that responsible gambling advertisement is a part of the regulations. Glaser concluded by saying: “iDEA, and its members, are demonstrating their commitment to responsible advertising as we embrace ethical practices and the well-being of our customers.”
Responsible advertising reduces the risks for online sports betting and gaming consumers by making sure that advertisements don’t target or appeal towards vulnerable groups such as minors and those who are addicted.
