Fanatics Sportsbookis launching its beta product just in time for the Game 5 of NBA Eastern Conference finals at Boston.
The launch of the operator was approved by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission earlier in the month.
Fanatics Sportsbooks reaches out to current Fanatics merchandise clients and offers them the opportunity to play the beta version of this app. These beta testers will even receive a promotional offer that allows them to wager $5 for $200 in bonus bets.
Last week, Ohio regulators asked Fanatics to remove an in-store promotional offer for bonus bets when purchasing merchandise.
Matt King, Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s CEO at the recent SBC Summit North America, discussed how important it is to use the Fanatics ecosystem. This was especially true with the reward program, where bettors earn Fan Cash. This cross-promotion, which worked in the opposite direction as with the Ohio promotion, appears to be on hold.
The beta version of Fanatics has been released in Massachusetts, Ohio and Tennessee. After the PointsBet purchase announced in this month, Fanatics has access to the market for several states. However, it is not clear how long the transfer process will take.
Robert Williams, the Executive Director of New York State Gaming Commission at Monday’s New York State Gaming Commission Meeting said that there would not be a formal transfer process but key Fanatics stakeholders will need to be licensed and vetted before the Fanatics Brand could be launched.
